How to hang and care for your New Vertical Blind Slats
IN ORDER TO PROTECT YOUR BLIND DURING TRANSIT THE STABILISING CHAIN
HAS BEEN PACKED SEPARATELY AT ONE END OF THE BOX. PLEASE CHECK ALL
PACKAGING BEFORE DISCARDING
Hanging New Slats
- Using the blinds control chain rotate the existing slats so they are in the open position.
Unclip the stabilising chain and slide out the ballast weights from the bottom of the existing
slats.
- Holding the top of the slat unclip each of the existing slats individually.
Open the plastic protecting the new slats.
Keeping the new slats in a roll, peel one off at a time and clip into rail using the top section
of hanger.
- If required the slat length can be shortened by approximately half a centimetre by using a
pair of scissors to cut the top bar off the hanger allowing the slat to be hung on the second
bar.
- Once all the slats are hung either insert the ballast weights from your existing slats into your
new slats or if you have ordered new weights please unwrap and insert into new slats.
- Starting from one end of the blind begin clipping the new stabilising chain onto the ballast
weights, starting at one end work along the back of the blind and then along the front.

Aftercare & Cleaning
To ensure your Vertical blind stays looking its best for many years to come, follow the straightforward
cleaning instructions below:
- Before removing the slats from the headrail, unclip the chain at the bottom of the slats and slide out
the weights
- To unhook the slats, hold the top of the slat, tilt to 45 degrees and gently pull the clip out of
the hook
- Lay the slats separately on a flat surface. Using a mild detergent, clean each slat by wiping
from top to bottom with a slightly damp soft cloth. Don’t press too hard and don’t rub the slat.
- We would strongly advise that before cleaning your slats you test the detergent by cleaning
a small inconspicuous area.
- Hang the slats to drip-dry – they should not be hung in direct sunlight
Replace the weights while the blind is drying
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY; DO NOT IRON
Hang the slats on the headrail and reattach the stabilising chain to the weights.

IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY, PLEASE KEEP ALL PULL CORDS AND CHAINS OUT
OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. MOVE COTS, BEDS AND OTHER FURNITURE
